Artist Statement

My Capstone works explore the concept of envisioning dialogue by means of forms and the implied space that exists between them. With charcoal as my medium, I have used heavy lines to create the impression of figures whose forms become more visible the longer the viewer observes them. As the forms emerge and space begins to appear between the forms, the viewer is challenged to see the dialogue that exists between them.
